ABOUT SCOOP CONTRACTING
Scoop Contracting is a family-owned excavation and construction company based in Nelson, BC.
The business was started by Kelly Toole in 2001 and has grown through word of mouth, repeat customers, and a reputation for reliable work. Today, Kelly is gradually moving into retirement while passing the company on to his daughter, Hopi Glockner.
Before joining the family business, Hopi spent years working as a carpenter in residential construction. That construction background helps us look at excavation through a builder’s lens. We don’t just look at how to move dirt—we think about what comes next and how every stage of a project fits together.
Our crew is small by design. Each person on our team has years of experience in the field. The people working on your project aren’t trainees or temporary labourers—they’re skilled, dependable tradespeople who care about doing the job properly.
